Cub Plush Pawlitical Pet

"Cub" became famous when Governor Alfred E. Smith lived in the Executive Mansion in the 1920's. Smith has a petting zoo in the backyard that included dogs, rabbits, goats, elk, bears. and a donkey. This friendly black bear wandered off one evening and ended up in a nearby orphanage. The next day the bear was featured in the local newspaper.
