Major Plush Pawlitical Pets

Franklin Delano Roosevelt owned Major, a German Shepherd, during his time as New York’s Governor. Major was a former police dog, donated by the New York State Police to FDR. Major’s police training made him a superb guardian for his family. First Lady Eleanor adored Major & drove him to the White House herself for the family’s move.
